Job Title: Business Analyst

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Business Analyst. The analyst supports the DAS PM and team with meeting coordination, meeting minutes, action items, reporting support, documentation support, acquisition support, budget support, RTM, etc.

Minimum qualifications:

•  5+ years of professional work experience
• Must have experience in evaluating data provided by cost estimators to create overall cost versus benefit assessment
• Experience with software acquisition evaluation while considering functional benefits, technical performance, risks, and schedule concerns
• Ability to cope well under pressure, high-paced workstreams, and/or short deadlines
• Must be highly effective at communicating both vertically and horizontally with team members and senior staff
• Must have strong investigative and analytical skills, critical thinking and be detail-oriented
• Must be flexible and efficient at multi-tasking in a high-profile and fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage across geographically diverse teams
• Must be highly organized and self-motivating, maintaining high integrity and high confidence
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting, or related scientific or technical discipline is required, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Preferred qualifications:

•  Experience in the VA
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records to include FHIR and HL7 message tracking
• Experience with middleware and Enterprise Service Bus design and testing
• Experience with monitoring high availability, highly elastic mission critical systems in a cloud environment using AWS and Azure dashboards
• Experience with enterprise-level reporting for analytics and trending analysis (Power BI, Tableau)
